Oladips

Popular Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Oladimeji, widely known as Oladips, has taken a firm stance against recent viral reports suggesting he orchestrated a death hoax to generate attention for his latest album, ‘Superhero Adugbo.’ Contrary to claims circulating online, Oladips clarified that he did not fabricate news of his demise.

The controversy arose when his management, through an Instagram statement on November 15, 2023, declared the rapper’s passing on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. However, conflicting information emerged from acquaintances such as rapper Qdot, who affirmed Oladips’ actual state of being by confirming his existence on social media platforms.

Oladips personally intervened, providing video evidence to refute the speculations and prove that he was indeed alive and well. Nonetheless, this action further fueled conjecture that the entire episode was a publicity stunt engineered to promote his new project.

Addressing the circulating rumors via his Instagram story, the rapper directly implicated Qdot for spreading allegations that he orchestrated the death hoax. Oladips expressed dismay, highlighting the insensitivity of Qdot’s swift announcement about his survival, especially at a time when his family was uncertain about his actual condition.
