Oyo Govt Shut Down A Company After 30 Workers Tests Positive For Covid-19

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State revealed a company in has been shut down at area of South West Local Government, Ibadan after 30 Workers tested positive for Covid-19.

Gov Makinde disclosed this on his official Twitter account and also confirmed another positive case from Egbeda Local Government.

Engr Makinde said,

“The COVID-19 confirmation tests for thirty-one suspected cases came back positive.”

“Thirty of these cases are members of staff of the same organisation based in Ibadan south west local government area.

The organisation has been shut down and will be decontaminated.”

“Intensified contact tracing has already commenced.”

“We will give an update on any additional measures that may need to be taken.”

However,  The Governor also said the state had introduced the drive through, walk through testing at the Adamasingba Stadium, and urged those with Covid-19 symptoms to register with the emergency centre.

Meanwhile, 28 patients has been discharged so far from the state after been tested negative twice and the state has close to 100 active cases.
