The Real Madrid skipper, Sergio Ramos has equalled Lionel Messi’s scoring
record set by the Barcelona forward on the opening day of the La Liga
season against Deportivo Alaves.

Ramos scored the equalizing goal for Real Madrid from the penalty spot against Girona after Marcos Asensio was hacked down in the area.

With the goal Ramos at the Montilivi, he equalled Messi’s record of scoring at least one goal in La Liga for the past 15 seasons in a row which was set on the opening day by the Argentine forward against Deportivo Alaves.

The Spanish captain scored his first La Liga goal against Real Sociedad in September 2004 at the age of 18 when he was at Sevilla while Messi scored his at 17-years old against Albacete.
