The Imo State police have verified the tragic loss of eight members from a single family due to a car accident at the Amanwozuzu junction in the Ikeduru Local Government Area of the state.
The confirmation of this unfortunate incident came from Lucky Ahiole, the Divisional Police Officer overseeing the Ikeduru LGA, during an interaction with reporters in Owerri on Friday.
The DPO explained that the accident occurred around 3:00 pm on Friday, claiming the lives of all eight individuals who were traveling in a Sienna car.

Reportedly, the Sienna vehicle collided with a stationary truck loaded with rods, resulting in the fatal outcome for the passengers.
“Tragically, eight lives were lost, and we’ve transported them to a morgue. To retrieve the deceased, we had to extract them from the damaged Sienna vehicle,” mentioned the DPO.
