Ogunbote Fumes After Shooting Stars' Draw Against Katsina United

Gbenga Ogunbote, coach of Shooting Stars, remains optimistic despite the team’s recent dip in performance, considering it a momentary setback.

The Oluyole Warriors stretched their unbeaten streak to three games by securing a 1-1 draw against Katsina United last Sunday.

Ogunbote acknowledged that the recent outcomes haven’t been ideal for the team but expressed confidence that the situation would soon turn around.

However, he expressed disappointment in the strikers’ inability to capitalize on their opportunities.

“While it’s not the most favorable situation for us, I view it as a temporary setback rather than a catastrophe. We need to regroup swiftly and rectify our course to return to winning ways if we aim for significant outcomes,” Ogunbote conveyed to the club’s media.

“With approximately five days left to prepare for the upcoming game, it’s imperative that everyone contributes their utmost. We must ensure we put in our best efforts to secure a positive outcome,” he emphasized.

Following the result, Shooting Stars slid to sixth position in the league standings.
