Morrison Tells Pochettino To Get Rid Of Chelsea Flops

Former Premier League standout Clinton Morrison has advised Chelsea’s manager, Mauricio Pochettino, to consider parting ways with underperforming players following the team’s disappointing 2-0 loss against Everton.

During Sunday’s Premier League match at Goodison Park, Chelsea suffered 2-0 defeat against Everton, causing Pochettino’s squad to slide down to the 12th position in the league standings.

Players such as Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella, Nicolas Jackson, Enzo Fernandez, and Conor Gallagher were notably below par in their performance.

Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure and Lewis Dobbin were the ones who netted goals against Chelsea.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Morrison highlighted;

“There were six players pushing forward, but the lack of midfield support to track back was evident. Gallagher was bypassed too easily by Dwight McNeil – he could have intervened or fouled him. McNeil then delivered an excellent ball to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.”

“Robert Sanchez made an outstanding save, but it fell to Abdoulaye Doucoure, who brilliantly struck the ball into the bottom corner for a fantastic goal. However, the Chelsea players were nowhere near him. Pochettino faces a significant challenge with this squad. There’s a necessity to offload several players they’ve brought in.”
