Newcastle vs Liverpool‘s match started with full attacking forces. Nabi Keira opened the scoreline at 19th minute and that’s all for first half and second half.
Guimaraes sends a thoughtful ball to a running Saint-Maximin right into the box. The ball skitters out as Saint-Maximin is lightly fouled, but there’s no appeal to stop play.
Guimaraes has another chance, and goes again, sending the ball to Willock who is blatantly fouled by Matip.
A great looking free kick set up here, for Shelvey to take against his former club, right in front of goal. The wall lines up, and Jota plays excluder.
Foul by Gomez on Willock, who nearly goes careening into a watching Eddie Howe. Newcastle free kick, and a yellow for Gomez.

The free kick goes deep into the attacking half, but messy play makes for a quick free kick for Alisson to take now.
Now Liverpool are on the move again, with a great run by Jota feeding a ball to Diaz just in front of the box. Any attempt to move it further is spoiled, but the ball goes behind a Liverpool corner.
Milner takes it, and van Dijk looks to send it goalwards. There’s a melee, and Newcastle keep it out after a few attempts.
A long, trippy run by Willock ends with a pass to Almiron, who sends the ball flying in to be headed out by the Liverpool defence. Keita gets his… feet… on the ball, and runs for a counter, before Willock brings him down.
Gomez starting off strong right down the right, and sends it in for Diaz. Newcastle gets the ball, however, and a foul by Keita trying to stem this gets the team a free kick, which Dubravka takes.
