Dean Henderson hollering ‘Aaron’ repeatedly there was like Alan Partridge trying to get Dan’s attention. Henderson’s sound bites have enhanced this particular matchgoing experience and perhaps the Old Trafford acoustics aren’t as bad as they seem.
This is now in danger of petering out into a nothing event after Sociedad failed to get that away goal, which is exactly what United will want. They have picked up after a poor first 15 minutes.
Not a classic by any means, but a scoreline United can be pleased with so far. The penalty was a huge let-off but the response has been good. Minimal threat from Sociedad since then.
