Atiku’s ex-aide, Bwala attacks Peter Obi

Atiku’s Former Aide Lambasts Peter Obi as “Twitter President”.

Daniel Bwala, a former spokesperson for the Atiku-Okowa 2023 presidential campaign, has launched a scathing attack on former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, labeling him as the “Twitter president.”

Bwala accused Obi of engaging in grandstanding and flip-flopping on issues, suggesting that he tends to both approve and disapprove of matters at his convenience.

The criticism stemmed from Obi’s recent reaction to the withdrawal of Nigeria’s senior men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Afrobasket 2025 Qualifiers due to financial constraints.

Obi expressed his dismay over the situation in a post on X, stating, “I read, with dismay, the reports of the withdrawal of Nigeria’s senior men’s national basketball team, D’Tigers, from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Afrobasket 2025 Qualifiers due to lack of funds.”

However, Bwala took to X to remind Obi of a previous statement where he advocated for prudent financial management, quoting him as saying, “We must stop this unproductive habit of throwing scarce and borrowed money at immediate problems…”

Bwala criticized the former Anambra State governor for what he perceived as inconsistency and grandstanding.

In his post on X, Bwala wrote, “You just like to approve and disapprove, Pitobi. Didn’t you say the below? Nothing pleases you more than grandstanding. Twitter President.”
