Argentina vs Australia‘s match started with full attacking forces.

Australia’s defence simply forgets to keep an eye on Pezzella, who has all the time and space in the world to head the ball past Ryan in the bottom corner.
Lionel Messi’s free kick touches a defender and there was a corner for the Argentina National Team.
Australia keep possession well, fizzing passes around with purpose before Leckie wins a free-kick. The problem for Arnold is that his team lacks any kind of cutting edge and a promising move comes to nothing as Martinez calmly collects Bos’ cross.
Australia give away a careless foul on the edge of the area, giving Messi a chance from a free kick, but Rowles gets a touch to it in the wall and it goes out for a corner.

Australia win a corner after some more questionable defending from Argentina, but it takes Hrustic some time to swing the ball in as Martinez, Souttar, Baccus and De Paul all get involved in a bit of push-and-shove. When the corner is indeed taken, it’s taken short and a well-worked routine it is too.
Hrustic floats the ball towards the back post but Argentina clear the lines before Souttar can get his head on it.
Australia’s turn to make a double change, Brandon Borrello and Denis Genreau replace Mitch Duke and Aiden O’Neill.
Enter Lo Celso and Julian Alvarez for Angel Di Maria and Mac Allister, double change of Scaloni.
Martinez’s goal-kick almost catches Australia out of cold, before Souttar sticks out a leg to prevent Di Maria from latching onto the ball and deny him a one vs one with Ryan.
Argentina come forward again, but a brilliant team move that releases Di Maria results in a tame header by Messi that ends straight into Ryan’s arms.
