Burnley vs Chelsea Highlights Download: October 2020 – Premier League.

Edouard Mendy continue his great starts at chelsea as he recorded another clean sheet.

The Blues started the game with full attacking forces. Hakim Ziyech opened the scoreline at 25th minute, Kurt Zouma doubled the chances at 63rd minute before Timo Werner finished it all at 70th minute.

Chelsea eased to a 4-0 Champions League win at Krasnodar on Wednesday, with Hakim Ziyech in sparkling form as Frank Lampard’s forward line clicked in Russia.

However, Chelsea are yet to fully find their feet domestically, taking nine points from their opening six games as Lampard has struggled to balance a thrilling attack with a porous defence.

Burnley were impressive against Tottenham in defeat on Monday, narrowly losing 1-0. Can they beat their London visitors five days later?

Guardiola, Klopp Blast Premier League Over A Rule

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola and Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp have blasted the Premier League over its decision to revert from five to three substitutes.

Following the COVID-19 lockdown, five substitutes were allowed after football resumed to deal with hectic schedules.

However, other leagues continued with the format, the English Football Association chose to return to three substitutes, despite FIFA’s approval to keep the initial change in place until August 2021.

The Premier League argued that clubs with bigger squads would be favoured by the rule.

With Klopp, he feels the Premier League showed a “lack of leadership” with the decision.

Jugen Klopp said,

“None of the top seven clubs asked for any advantage. We just knew, because we knew our schedule, that it would be incredibly difficult.

To have the best games at the weekend in the Premier League, it would have helped that as well. I think we should think about it again.”

Pep Guardiola at the other hand echoed Klopp’s thoughts, saying there has been “47 per cent more muscular injuries” this year compared to the same stage of the campaign in 2019-20.

Guardiola said,

“The statistics speak for themselves. The players are not recovering from the previous game, even the previous season. It makes no sense.

“Who voted for the decisions? Who are they? They have to protect the players. They have to decide. The law is acceptable for FIFA, UEFA.”

Arsenal’s Arteta Identifies Threats In Man Utd Squad

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has identified the forwads of Man Utd as threats, ahead of their English Premier League (EPL) clash on Sunday.

Manchester United have not lost in their last 13 home league fixtures to the Gunners.

However, Red Devil’s front three of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood combined for 62 goals in all competitions last season and the club’s manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer bolstered their attack by signing Edinson Cavani as a free agent last month.

With Daniel James and Odion Ighalo also in their ranks, Arteta said United have the options to change their style.

“They create really good relationships and they’re all very different,” Arteta said.

“They glide together, have really good understanding and chemistry on the pitch. You can see that.

“Since the lockdown, Ole has managed to improve that a lot and you can see that at the end of [last] season, the amount of goals and types of goals they were scoring. They’re a threat.”

Guardiola Speaks On Leaving Man City For Barcelona

The manager of Manchester City Football Club, Pep Guardiola has claimed he prefers to extend his stay at the Premier League club, rather than return to Barcelona.

However, Pep will be out of contract at the Etihad Stadium next summer.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s presidential front-runner, Victor Font, has already declared his intention to bring back the 49-year-old to Camp Nou.

The LaLiga club’s outgoing president, Josep Maria Bartomeu resigned this week ahead of an expected vote of no confidence next month.

Guardiola said;

“I’m incredibly happy here.

“I’m delighted to be happy here and hopefully I can do a good job here this season to stay longer.”

#EndSARS: Lagos Judicial Panel Found Exhibit At Lekki Tollgate

The Judicial Panel of Lagos State have recovered five bullet shell casings from the scene of the alleged shooting of End SARS protesters on October, 20th, Lekki Tollgate Plaza.

On Friday, the exhibits were discovered at the Lekki Tollgate Plaza, during an investigative visit by the nine-man panel, headed by Justice Doris Okuwobi, (NAN) reports.

Earlier in the day, the panel had left the venue of its sitting at the International Court of Arbitration, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, to visit the Tollgate plaza scene of the shootings.

Also in attendance were: Mr Abayomi Omomuwa, the Managing Director of the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) and Mr Gbolahan Agboluwaje, the Head of the Legal Department of LCC and the media.

Five bullet casings were reportedly recovered from the floor, a gutter, as well as the staircase by persons, present during the visit.

During the visit, Omomuwa told the panel that the Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras mounted on a mast at the toll gate area were working during the shootings.

However, he noted that though the footage of the happenings of 20 10 20 had been captured by the CCTV, it is currently not working due to damage caused by hoodlums during the carnage of Oct. 21.

On the panel’s return to the venue of its proceedings, Justice Okuwobi, said the panel had made observations and had asked questions at the scene.

She said that subsequent proceedings could not continue because the Managing Director of the LCC had no legal representation.

She also noted that the panel had not admitted the Oct. 20 footage as evidence and when it is admitted in evidence, it will be played at the proceedings.

Finally, the proceedings were adjourned until Nov. 3 for the testimony to be given by the MD of the LCC.

Wike said,

While reacting to that, Kanu in a tweet on Friday said:

“Nyesom Wike, the little Hitler of Rivers State had a closed door meeting with lawyers where he instructed them that any arrested IPOB member should not be brought to court but rather should be executed by the army & police.

“That Wike may know that we know. Vengeance is the Lord’s.”
