I think we played really well. Obviously there’s going to be stages when it’s difficult because offensively they’re really strong. But we played secure, we didn’t take too many risks, and we knew with only two weeks of training it’s going to be hard. Props to the defenders because I think they kept it really tight and we did really well.
It’s a little bit of a weird season, but we know we need to start well. Wolves have been a bogey team for us in the last couple of seasons so to come here and do this performance is encouraging. The only thing we can really do is play game by game. We know if the pace is the same as the last three years it’s going to be a hard job. We need to fight against [Liverpool]. I think we make each other better and that’s what sport is all about.

Pep Guardiola speaks to Sky. He’s obviously not very keen on doing so, and it’s tough to get much out of him, but they do get a few morsels:
It was a good one. We know how difficult it is in this stadium. But the game was good. Always is try to [start] in this way. Sometimes we cannot, and sometimes we need more time to get our best condition, but it’s a good start, to come here and win. In the period that we are, in the situation that we had these last two weeks, I expected that at some moments we would suffer, but in general we controlled very well. In general everyone was ready and did well.
On Phil Foden:
The goal and the second half he played incredibly well, he helped us to keep the ball. We could not run the match because we are tired in our legs, but in general we did a good game.
