What Cristiano Ronaldo Said After Scoring Hat-trick Against Spain Will Motivate You

Cristiano Ronaldo who was excellent in a 3-3 draw against a star-studded Spanish national team has revealed how he feels about his performance.

The game saw the Real Madrid forward scoring a hat-trick as he surpasses Pele, Maradona and Messi in the International goals tally. The goals also made him the first player ever to score in eight major international tournaments.

He’s now the oldest hat-trick scorer in World Cup history, aged 33 years and 130 days – the previous oldest was Rob Rensenbrink in June 1978 for the Netherlands against Iran (30y 335d).

Speaking with pressmen after the game, Cristiano Ronaldo said;

“I always believed in myself, I work for this,”

“I want to highlight the team’s response, we played until the end, we did not shy away from the fight. The draw was fair.”

“I’m very happy. It’s a personal best. It’s a great moment. One more in my career.

“But what’s more important is how the team played. We were playing a great team. In my opinion, it was a fair result. Obviously we are very happy because the game was about to end and we managed to equalise. It was a hard-fought game.

“We are not the favourites but we are candidates. We will do our best. Now we will try to win on Wednesday against Morocco so we can move on to the next stage. I think the team is doing very well.”
