United Manager, Ole Gunner Solskjaer returned the majority of his starters for the clash this afternoon after allowing squad players to feature during the week against Colchester.
Rashford, Martial, Maguire and Shaw are the only players to retain their spots. De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, McTominay, Fred, Lingard and James all return to the fold.
United’s attack somehow dull throughout the first half of the game. Likewise the home team, both teams were just playing in the midfield.
They both secured their net and the game ended goaless draw at the end of first half.
Not quite long at the second half, Watford recorded a first goal with Red Devils goalkeeper, David De Gea’s error.
When the Reds were trying to return the concieded goal and start afresh, Watford forward was fouled by Aaron Wan Bissaka in the box. Referee consulted the VAR and penalty was awarded for Watford. The penalty kick was taken and scored by Troy Deeney.
Manchester United tried all their efforts to score at least a goal but all their efforts brought no goal. The game ended two goals to nothing in favour of home team.
