Chelsea star Victor Moses has announced his international retirement from Nigeria at the aged of 27.

The Premier League and FA Cup winner switched allegiance to play for
three-time African Champions after initially featuring for the England
Youth side, said on Thursday that he would like to focus on his club career now and his young family.
The He released a statement on his social media to confirm his departure from the national team set up.

“I have experienced some of the best moments of my life wearing the
Super Eagles shirt and have memories with me that will last a lifetime”
“However I feel that now is the right time to step away in order to be able to focus fully on club career and my young family as well as to allow the next generation of Super Eagle stars the opportunity to step up and to flourish.”

Moses has 37 caps and 12 goals have already told the Super Eagles coach Genort Rohr about his decision and thanked the NFF and all that made his stay with the national team worthwhile.

The Chelsea man wins the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013 and played in
two FIFA World Cups in Brazil and Russia.
