Senegalese forward Sadio Mane has reportedly agreed in principle to
join Real Madrid this summer but Zinedine Zidane’s exit means the
deal is now in doubt.
The 26-year-old Liverpool star notching 20 goals and eight assists in
all competitions as help Reds reaching Champions League final and
even scoring in the 3-1 loss to Los Blancos now rumours have
emerged suggesting that the World Cup bound could be on his way to
the Santigo Bernabeu.
According to France Football , an agreement has been reached between
Real Madrid and Mane, but the recent departure of Zidane as head
coach of the La Liga giants has put the transfer into doubt.
The decision to take former Southampton to Real was reportedly made
by club president Florentino Perez, who will now wait until he has
appointed a new manager before seeing if the deal will still go ahead.
Mane moved to Anfield from Southampton in 2016 formed a formidable
attacking partnership with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino
banging 81 goals altogether in all competition last season.
Mane is currently with the Senegal team preparing for the summer’s
World Cup.
