Joke Silver, wife to Olu Jacobs, recently opened up on her husband’s frail health.
She said, “well, he is dealing with issues, and it’s been going on for a couple of years, and it is known as Dementia with Lewy Body (DLB). It is one of the most common types of dementia.
Dementia is the name for problems with mental abilities caused by gradual changes and damage in the brain. It tends to develop slowly and get worse as the years go by.
The stages of this dementia are from No cognitive decline at all to severe cognitive decline.
This is one of the most terrible illnesses in a couple, especially in their old years, because gradually, the affected spouse forgets important memories and things that matter.

It will be an arduous Journey for Joke silver to take with her husband, Olu Jacobs, but she says it’s a relief to tell the public.
As that proverb goes, a problem shared is one half solved…..we hope this burden has been lightened from her shoulders as she has come forward.
