IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, has berated Igbo leaders, accusing them of selling out their conscience.

There is a reports shows that the pro-Biafra activist, who came out of hiding in October after the military invasion of his community in Abia State, southeast Nigeria, last year, said governors from the South East have not learned from their northern counterparts, noting that northern governors defend their own.

The secessionist leader, who made this comment during a live broadcast on radio Biafra from his base in Israel, said the army and police can come to the South East and arrest people and no leader will rise up in their defence.

His words: “Once you can make them (Igbo leaders) ministers, give jobs to their families, their sons, wives and their daughters, they are okay, they are fine while the rest of the people suffer. People are suffering every blessed day in our own land, the army can come to your own home and arrest you, the police can come to your home and arrest you and nobody will say anything.

“You rot in jail or you die, nobody will say anything, but Boko Haram they are releasing them they are giving them guns, they are giving them uniforms to join the army.

“Don’t people see all these things? Now you know why we are different from the others? All those silly and stupid Igbo men and Biafrans at large, I must say, that call themselves leaders and elites, like some of the fools we have in Ohanaeze and South East governors, can they copy something from their northern counterparts? Have they seen northern governors coming out to tell them to come and kill people in their own area?

“NdiIgbo governors and they say that they are the elites and some of you ignorantly listen to them, very sad indeed, very very sad. The idiots we have in Biafran land claiming they are leaders have sold their conscience. They have no love for you and they have no regard for you. Ask them,” the IPOB leader said.
