Eedris Abdulkareem Recalls 50 Cent’s Infamous Backstage Incident: Nigerian Artists Flogged and Chased Away.
In a recent revelation, Eedris Abdulkareem, the controversial Nigerian singer, recounted a shocking incident involving American rapper 50 Cent and Nigerian artists, including P-Square, being forcefully removed from the backstage during a concert organized by Nigerian Breweries back in 2004.
Abdulkareem disclosed that the altercation occurred on the first day of the concert held at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
During the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Abdulkareem recounted how he defied 50 Cent’s bouncers’ orders to vacate the backstage area, leading to a potential confrontation.
Recalling the incident, Abdulkareem stated, “When 50 Cent’s entourage arrived backstage, they aggressively expelled every Nigerian artist, including P-Square. I stood my ground, refusing to leave despite their insistence.”

He further elaborated, “It took the intervention of one of the organizers to prevent a physical altercation between me and 50 Cent’s team.”
Abdulkareem also made allegations against Charly Boy, accusing him of accepting a bribe from Nigerian Breweries to suppress evidence of 50 Cent’s crew’s mistreatment towards him during the plane saga.
He claimed that Charly Boy betrayed him and subsequently blacklisted him from the industry after the incident.
“DJ Tee had recorded the entire altercation between me and 50 Cent’s crew on the plane, but Charly Boy seized the tape and utilized it as leverage in negotiations with Nigerian Breweries. This betrayal led to my blacklisting,” Abdulkareem stated.
