This probably isn’t how United envisaged a trip to Stamford Bridge at the start of the season. The game plan has been even more negative than Tuesday night and you can only imagine how cold Edouard Mendy’s hands must be.
He’s done that little he should have paid for a ticket to get in. United clearly want to limit Chelsea’s opportunities and they’ve pretty much done that, but it’s hard to see how they get a goal of their own at the moment. Or even a chance.

Much better
The goal has changed the mood but United are also playing better with the ball now. They are passing it around nicely in the final third and will now look to frustrate Chelsea.
Out of nowhere. Chelsea give the ball away on halfway and Jadon Sancho raches through on goal joined by Marcus Rashford. He takes his time and coolly passes past Mendy.
