Chelsea vs Liverpool match started with full attacking forces and that brought early goals in favour of the away team.

Chelsea are back in it from Kovacic. It’s a superb volley that goes in off the post. Kelleher had no chance.

James Milner has been excellent so far. First to everything and really letting Chelsea know they are in for a fight today.

I’ll tell you what, Mason Mount is a lucky boy there for me. It looked like he absolutely charged into Tsimikas there before having a little nibble once the Greek was on the deck and VAR have only checked the second part of the incident.

Chelsea will no doubt be wondering how on Earth they are losing this game 2-0 but Liverpool won’t mind too much. That said, they still need to address the problems that have hampered them in the opening 28 minutes.

Lijnders and Klopp will be pleased with this opening 20 minutes. It’s fast and frenetic but they have the lead.

You’d imagine neither team will be able to keep this up for the full 90 and it’s Chelsea who have to do the chasing. Mo Salah has been quiet so far. Perhaps he can make the most of some counters later in the game. So far, so good for the visitors.

Liverpool have not been good here, but they have at least negotiated the first 20 minutes without conceding. They need to get hold of the ball a bit more and certainly need to tighten up in terms of their defensive efforts in the forward line and midfield.
