Manchester United started the game with full attacking spirit. Hunting for goals as early as possible with the winning spirit derived from last match against Newcastle United at Old Trafford.
Andreas Pereira stole possession from Charlie Taylor down the right. He made a perfect pass to Anthony Martial who turned it to goal and gave his club the lead.
United continued their fine display but Newcastle United could have returned the goal. Phil Bardsley created a fine chance with a good strike but denied by David De Gea.
Anthony Martial after received some praises for his goal, he wasted another chance which could have secured the game for the away team. It was one-on-one opportunity after opting against shooting as Pope rushed out.
The game ended one goal to nothing at the end of the first half in favour of Red Devils.
Manchester United started the second half of the game with the hope to secure the winning as early as possible.
Marcus Rashford sealed it for United in stoppage time, punished Burnley for overcommitting in pursuit of an equaliser.
