Barcelona Want Mikel Arteta To Replace Koeman

Arsenal’s head coach, Mikel Arteta, is actively scouting three potential signings for the January transfer window to invigorate their challenge for the Premier League title.

Despite leading the Premier League table on Christmas Day, Arsenal has slipped to fourth place, holding just a one-point advantage over their North London rivals, Tottenham, following consecutive defeats.

The team has notably struggled to find the net, with their top scorer, Bukayo Saka, falling behind players from 12 other teams in terms of goal tallies.

According to insights from The Times, Arteta has prioritized the acquisition of a new forward among three key areas for improvement.

While there have been connections between Arsenal and Brentford’s Ivany Toney, the club might face constraints in making significant expenditures during this transfer window.

Reports suggest that Brentford could demand upwards of £80 million for Toney, who is set to return to action after completing a suspension in two weeks’ time.

Another player on Arteta’s radar is Victor Osimhen, yet his substantial price tag might hinder an immediate deal. Additionally, Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez has emerged as a potential target.

In addition to a forward, Arteta aims to reinforce the squad with a full-back and a holding midfielder.
