Arsenal vs Everton‘s match started with full attacking forces.
Both north London sides getting the job done so far then. Tottenham 2-0 against Norwich, goals from Kulusevski and Son. Gunners nead Norwich to score three in 45 minutes – slightly optimistic.
And that’s half-time. Arsenal utterly dominant, but that goal right on the stroke of half-time has got Everton back in it. None of it really matters though, with Tottenham cruising at Carrow Road.
That would’ve been a goal to sum up Bukayo Saka’s season. He was brought down in the middle of the park, found nothing doing, and then within minutes was back up and running through on goal. Just the finish missing.

It’s almost a relief that the top four fight is pretty much over. You can only imagine the nerves in this place at half-time off the back of that Van de Beek goal had Norwich been winning.
Well then – Everton pull one back just before the break! Iwobi slides it through to Calvert-Lewin, he drags the ball back across the face of goal and Van de Beek, has a tap in. Where has that come from?
While the thought of losing out to Spurs is hugely disappointing and will take some time to get over, this is a young side to have exceeded expectations and a performance here would at least end the season on a relative high.
Clearly, it’s hard to spin the situation they’re in as a positive but, frankly, few would have given them a chance of breaking into the top four before a ball was kicked.
