Van Gaal

Former Netherlands head coach, Louis van Gaal, has made the bold assertion that the 2022 World Cup in Qatar was manipulated to facilitate Lionel Messi’s long-awaited triumph in lifting the trophy.

In the final showdown at Lusail Stadium, Messi showcased his brilliance by scoring two crucial goals, propelling his nation to a thrilling 4-2 victory over France after a penalty shootout.

Earlier in the tournament, the 36-year-old football legend delivered an impressive performance as Argentina prevailed against the Netherlands, a team he once managed under Van Gaal. Messi’s remarkable goal during regulation time contributed to a thrilling encounter that concluded with Argentina securing a 4-3 victory in the penalty shootout.

Van Gaal, who departed from his coaching role shortly afterward, maintains his belief that the 2022 World Cup was somehow orchestrated to fulfill Messi’s dream of clinching the coveted trophy that had eluded him for so long.

He said;

“When you see how Argentina gets the goals and how we get the goals, and how some Argentina players overstepped the mark and were not punished, then I think it was all a premeditated game.”
