ANTONIO CONTE and Frank Lampard helped to give the legendary Andrea Pirlo a send-off to be proud of in Milan on Monday.
The 39-year-old’s playing career came to a close at the San Siro with a star-studded testimonial match – and the big names put on quite the show.
Pirlo announced his retirement after a season playing for MLS side New York City in November.
And the magical midfielder was joined by a host of his former team-mates, opponents and friends for a final swansong at the home of his old clubs AC Milan and Inter.
Chelsea boss Conte, fresh from winning the FA Cup but rumoured to be on the verge of leaving the Blues, was in the dug-out to assist Roberto Doadoni and Carlo Ancelotti.
And Lampard, a team-mate of Pirlo’s at NYC, also pulled on the boots for the bash.
Shevchenko rolled back the years to opened the scoring for the side in blue before Sampdoria’s Fabio Quagliarella doubled the advantage with just six minutes on the clock.
Alexandre Pato got the whites back into it before Antonio Cassano restored the two-goal advantage.
Pirlo provided the assist from a set-piece for Vieri to make it 3-2 but Cafu produced a sublime finish prior to Pato grabbing a second – but Bonucci would make it 5-3 before the interval.
