Jurgen Klopp’s side are on a seven-game unbeaten run, although they head into this clash on the back of a disappointing 2-2 draw with the Premier League’s bottom club West Brom. The Liverpool boss has made five changes in total from that encounter at the Hawthorns – Roberto Firmino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren and Andrew Robertson all coming into the side.
Di Francesco has lined up a back three – top-scorer Edin Dzeko spearheading an attack which also includes the dynamic Nainggolan and tricky Cengiz Under, who will provide the spark and creativity in the final third. Liverpool, meanwhile, are in their usual 4-3-3 – Salah, Firmino and Sadio Mane primed to cause havoc for Roma’s defence if the visitors switch off at any point.
Roma substitutes: Pellegrini, Perotti, Schick, Gonalons, Bruno Peres, Skorupski, El Shaarawy.
Roma (3-4-2-1): Alisson; Fazio, Manolas, Juan Jesus; Florenzi, De Rossi, Strootman, Kolarov; Under, Nainggolan; Dzeko.
