Tiwa Savage, the renowned Nigerian songstress, has taken legal action against Davido, citing alleged threats of assault and severe bodily harm in a petition filed with the Lagos State Commissioner of Police. Dated January 9, 2024, the petition highlights Davido’s purported threat to “cause harm” to Savage.

Tiwa emphasized that the fallout from this incident resulted in numerous inquiries from mutual connections, questioning her association with Sophia Momodu, the mother of Davido’s daughter, Imade, with whom he reportedly has ongoing issues.

The Petition Reads;
“I am writing to bring to your attention a distressing situation involving myself, Tiwatope Omolara Savage and David Adeleke.
“On the 23rd of December, I made a post which included myself and Sophia Momodu on my Instagram Story.
“And MR DAVID ADELEKE messaged my manager who’s also part of his management team that I should never say a word to him and that I was taunting him, uttering very disrespectful, malicious and derogatory words to my person.
“The events of that day have led to a barrage of calls from our mutual connections, asking me what I did to him that he’s upset that I chose to maintain a relationship with his daughter Imade’s mother, Sophia Momodu who he’s having issues with
“I, therefore, would like to make this complaint, and to state that in the event that anything untoward or harmful were to happen to me and member of my family, I will like the Nigerian Police Force to hold MR DAVID ADELEKE responsible.”
