Former Burussia Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele’s contract with Barcelona is coming to an end in a week’s time.

Dembele has received a contract renewal offer from Barcelona but has yet to give his response.

Meanwhile, there are three clubs who are interested in him and would be hoping to sign him on a free transfer.

These clubs are Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

Renewal at a standstill

The situation with Barcelona has stalled.

Dembele wants to stay at the Blaugrana and Xavi Hernandez has been pushing for the board to make an effort to sign him.

However, the club has not made any more moves after the last renewal offer that was proposed to him.

Everything remains unchanged, with Barcelona waiting to see if they can secure the financial deals they have been negotiating.

These potential deals could offer the club more funds to clinch the Frenchman’s contract renewal.

The Tuchel factor

Thomas Tuchel and Dembele coincided at Borussia Dortmund and the German coach

wants to re-join forces with the France international at Chelsea, who are the favourites to sign him should he depart Barcelona.

There is also interest in Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling and his potential signing could block that of the Frenchman.

However, Tuchel could sign both players because he can also use Sterling as a centre-forward.

French connection

Although it is believed that Luis Campos‘ arrival as PSG advisor means that a move for Dembele should be ruled out, the Ligue 1 club are in contact with his agents.

Kylian Mbappe’s decision to stay put is not an obstacle, as Angel Di Maria’s departure made space in PSG’s squad for the acquisition of another forward.

Meanwhile, despite Bayern Munich’s interest having waned in recent days, Dembele is still on the Bundesliga champions’ shortlist.
