First of all congratulations to Aston Villa for the way they played and the victory. And after that, we performed below our standards and I have to say that since I’m the Arsenal manager the first time that I’ve seen us play and we weren’t a team.

I take full responsibility. We didn’t start the game well enough. We got away with a decision on VAR because of the offside, but after that we lost all the races.

All the duels, we were sloppy on the ball, and when we created chances to score we didn’t even hit the target, so it’s a really bad combination.

As the game went on and we started to be more open and chase the game more we left more spaces open, against a team that can do that to you, and on the counter-attack we looked really vulnerable.

I take full responsibility because I’m responsible for making the team perform on the pitch. Today we haven’t shown it, and today we weren’t a team, so this is my job.

It takes a lot to build momentum, to start to create a certain way of being, of living, of performing.

When something like [the international break] comes up it’s a hard one to take, but as well I always believe that at a bad moment you learn more than in positive moments, and now I want to see the reaction.

How we react, to blame each other, or we look at ourselves in the mirror and when we come back we start to perform better and more consistently.”

There’s no changes from Arsenal from the side that edged out United a week ago, but Villa make one injury-enforced swap, with Trezeguet in for Bertrand Traore. That means that Emiliano Martinez remains between the sticks for the visitors – and gets to face off with his former club.

Alisson picked up a shoulder injury after colliding with a team-mate in training, so Adrian is in goal.

Saido Mane and Curtis Jones gave Liverpool a second half win after first half goaless draw. This win saw them came back from the huge loss to Manchester City last week.

Liverpool move to 89 points with victory over Aston Villa. They were sluggish for an hour but upped their game after a triple substitution and eventually broke down a diligent Villa defence.

Sadio Mane belted the first of the bar, and the young substitute Curtis Jones sealed victory with a couple of minutes remaining.

Chelsea started the game with full attacking forces but unable to convert any goal at half time but instead conceded a goal. Hause opened the scoreline when the half time was going to an end and that’s all for the first half.

The blues increases their efforts at the second half and this brought out a good result with Christian Pulisic equalizer. Not quite long, the French forward, Olivier Giroud secured the winning for The Pensioners with second goal. The match ended one goal to two in favour of the away team.

However, Chelsea are heading five points clear of Manchester United in fifth place as it stands on the table.

It’s a battle of two Chelsea legends: Frank Lampard and John Terry.

John Terry came back to Stamford Bridge to as part of Aston Villa coaching team to his former teammate, Frank Lampard as a Chelsea Manager.

Chelsea narrowly escaped through with three points tonight as the visiting team gave them much pressures.

Tammy Abraham opened the goal chances in a first half of the game to gave the home team a lead.

Before first half of the game runs end, Aston Villa forward, Jack Grealish recorded a goal for his team in return to Chelsea’s first goal.

The scoreline was 1-1 draw at the end of first half.

At the second half of the game, Christian Pulisic recorded the second goal for the home team in attempt to secure the winning with three straight points.

Chelsea winger, Willian tried to secured the winning early with a great freekick but the visitor’s keeper save the ball and hit the bar.

Tammy Abraham, who just came back from the sideline missed some chances during the game. The England International later secured another hamstring injury and was replaced by Michy Batshuayi.

Another England International and Chelsea midfielder, Callum Hudson-Odoi, who just came back from the sideline was later introduced to the match.

The away team, Aston Villa gave the home team much more pressure when the game was going to an end but Chelsea finally overcame them to secure the winning three points.

The hope of United to close the gap to the top four suffered a blow as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

The home team fell behind early but fought back to take a 2-1 lead before Tyrone Mings levelled to give Dean Smith’s share of the points.

Aston Villa took the lead in the 11th minute when captain Jack Grealish cut in from the left before curling a wonderful effort beyond David De Gea into the top corner.

Red Devils were far from their best during the first half but managed to get back on level turns thanks to an own goal from goalkeeper Tom Heaton just before the break.
