Super Eagles of Nigeria vs. Argentina Friendly Cancelled: Visa Issues Cause Disappointment.
The much-anticipated international friendly clash between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the reigning world champions, Argentina, has unfortunately been canceled.
Reports indicate that the cancellation stemmed from the logistical challenge of obtaining visas for the Nigerian delegation within the limited timeframe.
Originally slated to be held in China, the match was relocated to the United States of America following a dispute between Argentina’s captain, Lionel Messi, and Chinese authorities.

As a result, Argentina has opted to face Costa Rica instead of the Super Eagles, with another friendly against El Salvador scheduled for March.
Meanwhile, Nigeria finds itself in search of a new opponent as it gears up for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic in June.
