English Premier League and Everton’s winger, Andros Darryl Townsend made the headlines, after he copied Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo’s trade mark goal celebration in his club’s 1-1 draw against Man United at Old Trafford.
The English man joins a long list of footballers who have mimicked Ronaldo’s goal celebration out of respect for the Portuguese super star, who is considered by many as one of the greatest players of all time.
Ronaldo is well known for his famous “siii” goal celebration which he has kept using since his time at Real Madrid.
Although the Portuguese star didn’t start Manchester United’s game against Everton, but Townsend was on hand to show respect to Ronaldo by imitating his goal celebration, after drawing his team level on the 65th minute.

However after the game, Cristiano Ronaldo gifted the 30 year old winger his shirt, as a sign of appreciation.
Townsend was also fully of respect for his colleague after receiving the number 7 shirt from Ronaldo, and captioned it “Notting but respect to the goat” which means the “greatest of all time”.
