Nigerian music sensation Divine Ikubor, widely known as Rema, is setting his sights on a Grammy victory this year.
Despite not securing a nomination at the 2024 Grammys, Rema made a bold declaration during his recent visit to the lavish Lagos residence of billionaire entrepreneur Tony Elumelu. During the visit, he expressed his confidence in winning the prestigious Grammy award in the current year.
The ‘Calm Down’ artist engaged warmly with the billionaire’s family, presenting an exclusive album copy and his popular merchandise, Air Rema, as tokens of appreciation. Rema took a moment to acknowledge Elumelu’s unwavering support for the Nigerian music industry.

In a video shared on the billionaire’s Instastory, Rema expressed his gratitude, stating, “Thank you for what you have done and the support you have for the music industry. I am grateful; it means a lot to me. This year, I am bringing home the Grammy.”
Despite being overlooked by the Recording Academy for the 2024 Grammy nominations, Rema remains undeterred in his pursuit of musical excellence.
It’s worth noting that the upcoming Grammy award ceremony is scheduled for 2025.
