REMA BIOGRAPHY
Rema Biography: Divine Ikubor popularly known as REMA was born in May 2000, raised and bred in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
He lost his father when he was 8-year-old boy to asthma-related issues. At 15, he lost his older brother as well. All these forced him to maturity at very early.
Rema doesn’t have a girlfriend and had never had one because he doesn’t like playing with someone’s emotion.

Rema revealed his “greatest inspiration is emotions“. The teenage artist has a very uncommon habit in Music Industry. He takes no alcohol, he doesn’t smoke.
He completed his Primary School and Secondary School in the city of Benin, Edo State where he came from.
REMA BIOGRAPHY: MUSIC CAREER
The fast rising hip hop rapper, Afrobeats singer, songwriter, recording artist and stage performer, Rema started doing music at the age of 11.
He started in Church and got inspired from the likes of Michael Jackson, Frank Edwards, Innocent Idibia aka 2Baba.
Rema was allowed to be performing his rap styles in Church and that’s why he was nicknamed “Rap Nation Leader“.
Initially, Rema was discovered by Jonzingworld Records CEO who is a younger brother to Don Jazzy, D’Prince.
Rema did a freestyle cover to D’Prince previous single titled “Gucci Gang” featured Davido and Don Jazzy.
The freestyle video went viral, then got the attention of Jonzingworld Records boss, D’Prince.
D’Prince felt impressed and sent for the young talent to meet him in Lagos.
In 2018, he moved to Lagos on a mission to officially starts his music career. He joined D’Prince in studio and recorded songs.
D’Prince signed young star into Jonzingworld Records. He overwhelmed with the young talent and took him to introduced him to Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy.
Mavin Records officially unveiled him in March 2019. This made him an artist with two record label with Jonzingworld and Mavin Records.
He released a “Freestyle Ep” which consists of four dope and unique tracks. Each tracks in the EP got different styles.
The tracks like; “Iron Man”, “Why”, “Dumebi” & “Corny“.
The “Freestyle Ep” marks a new era for Mavin Records after the label parted ways with Reekado Banks & B-Red – The Jordan (Album).
