Controversial street-pop singer, Portable has escaped arrest after a clash with actress Ashabi Simple, who is the mother of one of his children.
It was reported that the incident reportedly took place on Thursday, January 1, 2026, during Ashabi’s visit to the singer’s bar in Ogun State.
A video shared online captured the tense moment between the pair.
Ashabi, who has often been described publicly as one of Portable’s baby mamas, was seen expressing anger over the label and insisting that she should also be seen as a wife.
Portable, however, maintained that he only regards his legally married wife, Bewaji, as his spouse, while every other woman in his life remains a baby mama.
This exchange led to a heated altercation, during which Portable was accused of pushing and assaulting her.

The matter later escalated when Ashabi and her siblings reported the case to the police, alleging assault and abuse.
She later shared her side of the story online, stating that she had gone to the bar after Portable invited her, but things turned sour when a disagreement broke out.
She also claimed that he seized their phones and threatened them.
Police officers reportedly went to Portable’s residence to arrest him, but he was said to have left before they arrived.
His wife, who is currently pregnant, was the one met at home by the officers.
“I celebrated the new year in a happy mood with my family. You are the one that called me that you’re in a bad mood, and I told you that I went to my dad’s house for the new year. And you asked me to bring new year food for you and I said ok.
“I called you when I got to your bar, and you asked me to meet you outside. When I got there, we had a minor disagreement and you slapped me, beat me up, seized our phones and threatened my siblings and I with axe,” she alleged in an Instagram video.
