
The Oyo State broadcast community in has been thrown into mourning following the death of popular Ibadan-based on-air personality, Kola Oladapo, professionally known as Mr Nice Guy.
Oladapo, who was a broadcaster with Lagelu FM 96.7, Ibadan, passed away on [date if available], leaving colleagues, listeners and friends devastated by the loss.
Confirming his death in an official statement, the management and staff of Lagelu FM described the late broadcaster as a painful loss to the station and the media industry at large. They noted that Oladapo was more than a familiar voice on the airwaves, describing him as a source of comfort, inspiration, and connection to countless listeners.

According to the statement, the late OAP lived a life filled with purpose, passion and genuine humanity, using his talent to inform, entertain and uplift the public with warmth, excellence and authenticity.
“He was a man of many talents who wore his greatness with humility and grace, leaving lasting impressions on colleagues, friends and listeners alike,” the statement read.
The station further described Oladapo as one of its finest professionals, a brother and a true gentleman whose legacy would continue to echo through the halls and frequencies he once graced.
“Though he may be gone from sight, his impact, memories and the love he shared will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him,” the statement added.
Lagelu FM extended its heartfelt condolences to Oladapo’s family, friends and loved ones, praying for strength to bear the irreparable loss.
“Rest on, Nice Guy. Your light will never be forgotten,” the statement concluded.
