Aliko Dangote, the prominent Nigerian billionaire, has once again secured his status as the wealthiest individual in Africa, as per the latest data from Forbes Real-Time Billionaires.
Recent reports from WISELOADED highlighted the brief period where South African magnate Johann Rupert temporarily held the top position, surpassing Dangote.
However, as of the January 8 rankings, Dangote’s net worth saw an uptick, reaching $10.1 billion, a $10 million increase, while Rupert’s wealth decreased to $10 billion from $10.7 billion as of January 30, 2023.
Dangote, leading the Dangote Group, holds the 191st position on Forbes’ global list, with Rupert following closely at 197th place worldwide.
