Walter Mazzarri, the manager of Napoli, is eager for Victor Osimhen to swiftly regain his top form following the Nigerian forward’s pivotal role in securing a 2-1 victory against Atalanta on Saturday evening.
Osimhen, coming off the bench, provided the assist to Elf Elmas for the decisive goal at Bergamo’s Gewiss Stadium, marking his return to action following a hamstring injury sustained while on international duty last month.
Expressing admiration for the striker, Mazzarri, who recently assumed leadership at the helm of the Serie A club, praised Osimhen’s qualities. “I didn’t need to become Napoli’s coach to recognize Osimhen’s prowess; I had observed his play! Thankfully, he’s back, and I hope he quickly rediscovers his top form,” Mazzarri remarked.
