Mohbad’s Autopsy Findings Anticipated within Three Weeks.
An autopsy performed on the late musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, is projected to yield results within the next three to four weeks.
Dr. Richard Somiari, the Director of the Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre, disclosed this information during his testimony at a coroner’s inquest into the singer’s demise on Wednesday.
The witness faced questioning from the defense counsel during the inquest.
Mohbad, who passed away on September 12, 2023 at the age of 27, left behind a flurry of speculation and debate, prompting the Lagos State Government to launch a thorough investigation into his death.
The coroner’s inquest, which commenced on October 13, 2023, is being held at the Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court.
Addressing the Coroner, Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi, Somiari stated, “We anticipate receiving the initial autopsy findings within three to four weeks, with further verification to authenticate the cause of death.”

“We’ve explored various potential factors, including the presence of toxins, as the exact cause of Mohbad’s death remains unspecified,” he added.
Assuring the public of stringent security measures and careful handling of samples, the forensic expert emphasized, “We have established secure storage facilities for items and results, along with a meticulous procedure for monitoring samples transported abroad.”
