Newcastle have just pressed Man United from their own third into their own. It has been a largely lifeless performance from Man Utd and they have little established quality to turn to on the bench.

The fans are chanting Rashford’s name and it would be amazing if he doesn’t get on at some point.

Jadon Sancho teeing-up Fred for a shot whacked wide. I didn’t expect the former to play today, but he did well after coming off the bench in midweek and perhaps his possession-heavy style is thought more suitable for the way Ten Hag wants his team to play in this game.
Despite a bright start, Manchester United have struggled in the opening 45 against a resolute and relentless Magpies who have been the better side. A poor half for the hosts.
Dan Burn is now on a yellow card, so Antony needs to exploit that. He’s had a frustrating match so far but should have the beating of his full-back. That could give him the edge in the second-half.
My guess is that Sancho is a player the manager expected to be in his first team, but he’s not earned the spot so far.
