Kobbie Mainoo’s Admiration for Three Former Man Utd Stars Revealed.
In a recent interview, Manchester United’s rising talent, Kobbie Mainoo, reminisced about his admiration for iconic players from the club’s history, namely Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, and Eric Cantona.
Mainoo, speaking to the media ahead of England’s anticipated friendly clash with Brazil, expressed his deep appreciation for the trio who left a lasting impression on him during his formative years.
At just 18 years old, Mainoo highlighted his childhood idols, emphasizing his love for Rooney, Scholes, and Cantona despite their prime being slightly before his time. “I loved watching [Wayne] Rooney. Paul Scholes as well and King Eric [Cantona]. It was a bit before my time, but I still appreciate it,” Mainoo shared.

The talented midfielder also revealed his longstanding dream of representing the England national team. “Of course, as a kid, you always dream of playing for England. But at the time, I was just taking it game by game,” Mainoo reflected.
