Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, on Sunday equalled Chelsea legend Frank Lampard’s goal record after scoring a penalty in his side’s Premier League 3-1 victory over Aston Villa.
Man United made this known in a post via its website on Monday.
Goals from Fernandes, Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani gave Man United all three points against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Fernandes’s strike against Aston Villa was his 27th goal of the season for Man United.

No Premier League midfielder has scored as many goals since Lampard found the net 27 times for Chelsea in the 2009/10 season.
If Fernandes can find the net three more times before the end of the season, he will be the first Man United player to hit 30 goals in a campaign since Robin van Persie in the title-winning campaign of 2012/13.
