The former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, has reportedly met his bail conditions and has been released from custody.
Mr Peter Ayodele Fayose, the immediate past governor of Ekiti state, has regained his freedom from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The former governor was released after meeting his bail conditions.
Fayose’s release was announced on Twitter by Lere Olayinka, his spokesperson. He wrote: “Fayose just regained his freedom. He left the Federal High Court, Ikoyi a few minutes ago. “We will meet @officialEFCC at the court from November 19.
“Thank you Nigerians.”

It will be recalled that a Federal High Court in Lagos presided over by Justice Mojisola Olatiregun on Wednesday granted Fayose N50 million bail and ordered him to deposit his passport with the court as part of his bail conditions.
The former governor was also asked to provide a surety who must have landed property in Lagos. The surety is also required to have three-year tax clearance in Lagos.
