Germany, other clubs in Spain,’ he said, ‘but I did not want to join another European club, as I had the best end possible here with
my team (Atletico)

exciting challenge for both of us.’
I am joining up next week and hoping to start as soon as possible with my new team-mates, playing games and scoring goals,’ Torres continued.
‘I hope to make my debut, at home, on July 21. I hope to be there
for many years. It will depend on my sporting performance.’

of Chelsea’s Champions League-winning team in 2012. He scored
126 goals in 314 matches in an eight-year spell in English football,
