The match between Chelsea & Borussia Dortmund started with full attacking forces.
Schlotterbeck powers his way down the left and draws a clumsy nudge from Havertz. A free kick. Everyone lines up on the edge of the Chelsea box, waiting for Reus to curl it in … but he throws a dummy and Guerreiro hoicks it into the area instead. Kepa punches clear confidently.
Both teams have had decent chances to take the lead now. Chelsea have come closest with Kai Havertz mere inches away from opening the scoring.
There were awestruck faces from the Blues after his strike didn’t go in. They couldn’t believe it.
Dortmund are playing with the confidence of a team who have won their last ten matches straight. They’re stroking it around with composure.
Emre Can has been one of Dortmund’s key players in this match so far. He collides with Kai Havertz and lands awkwardly on his right shoulder.
The Germans have already been forced to sub off Julian Brandt, losing Can would be a big miss.
Chelsea have had the better of the opening 17 minutes, with Joao Felix and Kai Havertz both having sights of goal.

But Kepa Arrizabalaga had to be alert to push out Marco Reus’ free-kick.
James crosses low from the right. Sule half clears. The ball drops to Havertz, just inside the box and level with the right-hand post.
Chelsea come forward for the first time in a while. Sterling plays a pass down the right channel to nobody in particular. The ball’s soon safe in the arms of Meyer in the Dortmund goal.
Koulibaly, out on the left touchline, plays a cute ball around the corner to release Felix into space. Can skittles the Chelsea man over to concede a free kick … but possession is soon shipped by the home side, to the audible frustration of the home support.
Havertz belts a low shot towards the bottom right and past the despairing arm of Meyer. The ball clanks off the base of the post and across the face of goal, only just evading the bottom-left corner.
Reece James bombs forward down the right wing and swings a cross into the Dortmund box. The initial pass gets hooked out as far as Kai Havertz who shoots first time.
He drills a left-footed shot into the deck and strikes the inside of the near post. The ball bounces off the upright but flies across the face of goal and doesn’t cross the line!
Kai Havertz has come very close to opening the scoring, scuffing a left-footed effort onto the inside of the post.
