Super Eagles forward Akor Adams has been granted permission to leave Nigeria’s camp following their emphatic 4–0 victory over Mozambique in the Round of 16 at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The development was officially confirmed via a statement released on the Super Eagles’ verified X (formerly Twitter) account. According to the update, Adams departed the camp to attend to a family emergency after his mother was hospitalized.

“Akor Adams has been granted permission to leave camp to go be with his mum, who was hospitalised yesterday.
