House of Representatives member, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has congratulated the President-Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on the occasion of his 71st birthday.
She said this in a statement issued today in Ibadan, where she extended the warm congratulations on behalf of Oluyole Federal Constituency.
Akande-Sadipe said his birthday anniversary came at a time when the APC national leader clinched the top job in the country.
She described Tinubu’s emergence as the president-elect against all odds as a testament to his strong leadership qualities, adding that he is a true leader who has dedicated his time and efforts towards the welfare of society.
Akande-Sadipe also said Tinubu deserves the greatest respect of Nigerians for the lives he has touched and the stability he has brought to the country’s democracy.
The statement read in part: “On this special day, I would like to extend my warmest greetings and best wishes for a happy birthday. You are a true leader who has dedicated your time and efforts towards the welfare of society, and we are grateful for your service. You deserve our greatest respect for the lives you have touched and the stability you have brought to our democracy.”
She added, “As you prepare to take up the responsibilities and challenges of your high office, I would like to offer my congratulations on your victory and wish you success. I am thankful to have a political leader like you who inspires us all and even more inspire that I share the same birthday with such an enigma”.
Ace Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie loses his first son, Kambilichukwu Edochie after he was rushed to the hospital for falling unconscious.
A source who had spoken to Vanguard on the condition of anonymity revealed that Yul has confirmed Kambilichukwu’s death at the time this report was filed.
May Edochie’s sister who was at the scene said the boy read throughout the night preparing for his exam today, 30th of March.
After his exam in school, he joined his mates to play football and that’s when he developed a seizure and was rushed to Mother and Child Hospital. All efforts by the doctors to resuscitate him were futile.
The family of the deceased is yet to issue an official statement, but will keep you posted as more details unfold.

The second term Unified Examination in all public primary schools across Oyo State has commenced, with adequate monitoring exercise put in place by the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB).
The Chairman, OYOSUBEB, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, while monitoring the exercise today in Ibadan, said the motive behind the examination exercise was to ensure simultaneous participation of all schools in the examination process.
He appealed to school head-teachers to ensure adherence to the time-table given to them by the Oyo State Government.
While inspecting Schools in Ibadan North-East Local Government Area of the State, Adeniran noted that the level of preparedness of schools and students was quite impressive.
Adeniran, who applauded the smooth conduct of the exercise, added that efforts and arrangements put in place by the State Government in printing unified question-papers for all schools in the State would ensure better performance of pupils.
He pointed out that the introduction of a unified examination timetable and questions was to give better credence to the exercise.
Dr. Adeniran also disclosed his satisfaction that both schools and pupils adhered to examination instructions.
Schools in Ibadan North; Ibarapa; Ibadan North-West; Ibadan South-West; Ibadan South-East LGAs were also visited by the Board’s monitoring team.
