VIDEO: Cee-C Opens Up On Her Alleged Romantic Relationship With Leo

Big Brother Naija star & first runner up of the reality tv show, Cee-C has denied claims that she’s in a romantic relationship with fellow reality TV star, Leo Dasilva.

She made the clarification in a recent interview saying that she’s not in any relationship at the moment neither is she having an affair with Leo.

“I am single, No, I am not dating Leo. He is my best friend”she said
She went further to explain that she merely had a spiritual bonding with Leo which was perceived as a romantic affair by many of her fans and the general public.

BREAKING NEWS: NLC Calls Off Nationwide Strike

The Nigeria Labour Congress has suspended its ongoing nationwide strike following promises by the Federal Government to reconvene the tripartite committee on national minimum wage on October 4.

The suspension of the warning strike takes effect from today.

Announcing the decision in Abuja on Sunday, the NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, stated that the labour action was suspended to enable the tripartite committee to hold its crucial meeting and conclude its work.

Paul Pogba Vows To Go On Strike Over Issues With Mourinho

Manchester United midfielder,Paul Pogba has told his teammates that he would go onstrike over issues with Jose Mourinho. Pogba’s war with Mourinho threatens to reach a new level, according to the Mirror.

Mourinho and the player he signed back from Juventus have been at loggerheads for much of the season.

Television cameras picked up a frosty exchange between them during training at Carrington on Wednesday morning following adefeat to Derby County in the Carabao Cup.United’s Saturday’s Premier League match away to West Ham ended 3-1 at the London Stadium.

Pogba was withdrawn with 20 minutes remaining, and United were two goals down. The French man made minimal eye contact with Mourinho as he made his way to the bench

The newspaper claimed that Pogba, who was also stripped of his ‘second captain’ status, has told teammates he no longer wishes to play for Mourinho if he allows their conflict to escalate any further.

Pogba is unhappy with the way Mourinho is conducting himselfand managing United, and has said to teammates that he is prepared to go ‘all the way’ to get rid of Mourinho by refusing to play under the Portuguese if the atmosphere does not improve.

VIDEO: 65 Year Old Shittu Says He Is Ready To Go For The Compulsory NYSC

Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu who was screened out APC’s Gubernatorial primaries in Oyo State for not having an NYSC certificate, has disclosed that he is now willing to undergo the one year mandatory program.

This disclosure came in an an exclusive interview with popular Ibadan-based broadcast journalist, Edmund Obilo, on his programme ‘State Affairs’. Barely 48 hours before he was disqualified by the party, Mr Shittu said he was willing to embark on the NYSC if it becomes necessary.

Adebayo Shittu who stated that he is willing to serve in any part of Nigeria if it is necessary for him to become Governor of Oyo State, also maintained that he is not Kemi Adeosun. He however debunked claims that Kemi Adeosun forged her NYSC certificate, stating that she was a victim of circumstance.

“Will you still like to go for Youth Service?” asked Mr Obilo. “Of course I will go; it will be a pleasant thing to go after I have been governor by the grace of God,” Mr Shittu said in response to the question. “Yes, why not?”

When Mr Obilo jokingly asked the minister whether he would like to serve in Daura, home of President Muhammadu Buhari, he responded in the affirmative.

“Whichever camp…it doesn’t matter, Daura is part of Nigeria,” he replied, adding that, “I will serve in any place if it becomes necessary for me to go.”

Again, Mr Obilo asked Mr Shittu whether he would serve if he does not become the governor of Oyo state.

“If it becomes necessary I will,” he said. “Court will have to decide whether serving in the house of assembly and being minister is not superior and does not replace service in the NYSC.”

The minister later said his case was, however, different from that of Kemi Adeosun, the immediate past minister of finance.

“I am not Kemi Adeosun because I didn’t have any forged certificate of exemption,” Mr Shittu said. When probed further on the response, he explained that Mrs Adeosun did not forge her certificate but was only a “victim of circumstance”.

“Who forged (the NYSC certificate)?” Mr Obilo asked again.

“I wouldn’t know. You will (have to) ask Kemi Adeosun,” Mr Adebayo Shittu said.

Adamawa State Governor In Trouble For ‘Forging’ Secondary School Certificate

A group known as the Global Integrity Crusade Network (GICN) has approached the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court to compel the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, to commence the prosecution of Jibrilla Bindow, Governor of Adamawa State, over offences allegedly related to forgery and perjury.

In the originating summons, a copy of which was made available to journalists, the Governor was said not to have completed his secondary education at the Government Secondary School, Mangu, Plateau State, as claimed.

Among the reliefs sought by the plaintiff is an order compelling the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to produce the result of the Governor within 14 days.

Apart from Bindow, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), West African Examination Council (WAEC), the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) were also joined as defendants.

Investigations revealed that Bindow, a businessman, became the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the April 2011 election for the Adamawa North Senatorial district, and went on to be elected into the Senate.

He later became the Governor of Adamawa after defeating Nuhu Ribadu and Markus Gundiri in the April 2015 governorship poll.

Bindow is described as a business tycoon, new to politics, and those close to him revealed that he did not possess secondary school certificate despite claiming so in his resume before his election as Governor.

“We were reliably informed that his poor educational background has affected governance in Adamawa State. Since he got to office, he has been unable to embark on projects that could help the development of the northern state,” said a source at the state secretariat, who asked not to be named.

“Adamawa State has lost its glory. Governor Bindow is limited in performance because of his poor educational background. It is very obvious that he cannot pilot the state effectively, and this is affecting development in the state.

“The Governor should be dealt with to serve as a deterrent to others. I will even advise the state house of assembly to impeach him now and he should be made to face the consequences of his action in a court of competent jurisdiction after his impeachment.”

Those close to Bindow say he has been running from pillar to post to get out of the mess, but that it is increasingly becoming impossible as “the certificate scandal cannot be covered since WAEC has not been able to prove that he has an authentic certificate”.

Reacting to the allegation, Macaulay Hunohashi, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor, described it as “a desperate move by those who have lost the grip of power.

“I can tell you the certificate forgery allegation is simply malicious and a move to embarrass the Governor, but I can tell it will get them nowhere near the coveted ticket of our great party,” he said.

Asked if the Governor was aware of a lawsuit instituted to compel the IGP to commence prosecution against him, Hunohashi said: “Neither the Governor nor any of us in his legal team is aware of the purported lawsuit.”

CARABAO CUP Draw: Chelsea Host Frank Lampard’s Derby County (See Full Draw)

Frank Lampard will return to Stamford Bridge after his Derby County side were drawn against Chelsea in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Chelsea legend Lampard is in his first season in management after taking over at Championship side Derby County in the summer.

Last week he beat his mentor Jose Mourinho as Derby defeated Manchester United on penalties in the third round of the competition at Old Trafford.

The Chelsea-Derby tie is one of 12 to be played in the week commencing October 29 with Tottenham versus West Ham and Burton Albion versus Nottingham Forest two derby games.

Blackpool, one of two League One sides left in the competition alongside Burton, have been handed a trip to Arsenal while holders Manchester City host Fulham.

The other ties see Middlesborough play Crystal Palace, Norwich City travel to Bournemouth and Leicester City play the winners of either Everton or Southampton, who play next week.

Goals from Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero were enough for Manchester City to win 2-0 at Etihad against Brighton.

Manchester City maintained the unbeaten start to their Premier League title defence as Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero sealed a 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.

Pep Guardiola’s men had to be patient before Sterling claimed his fourth goal of the season shortly before the half hour.

Brighton’s defensive work became increasingly last-ditch from that point and Aguero found the goal his endeavours merited in the 65th minute.

Leroy Sane was the most consistent threat during a largely listless opening from the champions and it was no surprise to see him to the fore when they broke through.

Aguero drove City forward on the counter-attack and released the jet-heeled Germany winger, whose cross was slid home by Sterling.

Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan denied Sterling and Fernandinho before the break as City moved through the gears.

Kyle Walker sent a shot skidding wide from a similar distance to the one he scored from against Newcastle United last month and Sane misjudged a header from Bernardo Silva’s excellent floated cross.

Captain Lewis Dunk produced a sprawling block to deny Aguero in the 58th minute, with Ryan standing firm to repel David Silva’s shot in the ensuing scramble.

But there was no stopping City when Aguero barrelled through the midfield and skipped past Dunk’s tired challenge. The Argentina striker slid in Sterling, who selflessly supplied a return pass for a tap in.

Fernandinho misjudged a header from a Brighton corner five minutes from time, with the ball striking his arm, but penalty appeals were waved away by referee Lee Mason.

Manchester City continue to throw down the gauntlet to Liverpool, as they take top spot on the table, patiently turning their attention to support Chelsea, in the hope they can extend their residence at the top of the table.

Brighton are currently sitting in 14th position, but are under a bit of scrutiny from the teams below them, as they attempt to dig their way out of the relegation zone.
